Goodness. It never rains but it pours. After last weekend's quiet, this weekend was just busy busy busy.

Friday was mine and Widget's normal day together. We went grocery shopping, we read books, we had meals. But Friday night was Mindy's game night. I finally was free to go, and so headed out pretty soon after Wiley got home for the evening. We had a good time, played Taboo and Apples to Apples. I was good, too - they were ordering pizza, but I stopped and bought a salad instead. Got home around midnight or so, and went to bed soon after.

Saturday, Widget slept in. We got up, helped Liz and Matt get an old washing machine out of our basement, then I headed off to lunch with [livejournal.com profile] lorac and book club at JP Licks. Had a good time chatting at book club, then headed home again. Cooked family dinner up quickly, then relieved Wiley of baby duty so that he could go out to a friend's birthday party. Put the baby to bed, watched two movies and vegged out, all while working on the super secret ninja project. Got to bed way too late, but luckily, Widget slept in again.

Sunday was my day full of baby. Wiley went off to brunch with friends, then when he came home he did some housework, while I went on an abortive shopping mission. Came home, got the baby up from her nap and tried to figure out what had died in our pantry closet. Found the icky dead vegetables, cleaned that up. I still need some shelving or some drawers for the bottom space in there, now that some of the less used appliances have been moved to the basement. Then Shani came over to keep us company while Wiley and her boy went off the watch the Super Bowl. We got INdian takeout, and she picked a lovely dying of cancer movie for us to watch. I got more work done on the super secret ninja project, and we pretty much vegged out.

That was about it for the weekend. I always wonder what Widget thinks of the weekends like this, where it's practically a revolving door of Mommy's gone, now Daddy's gone, now Mommy's gone again. Not that I think it's any big deal for her, I just wonder what she thinks about it.
