Loooong weekend. But not long enough
Mar. 25th, 2002 06:47 pmWe gave Lorac a chance to play mommy for a day, and got to go out all by ourselves. It was lovely. We were supposed to steal Ms. Lorac's symphony tickets, but I was SO tired on Friday, that I thought I'd rather just have a quieter evening. So we gave Ms. Prudence and her boy the tickets. Left Miss Widget with Lorac at about 6:00 on Friday... came home got all showered and whatnot, and went out to dinner at Paparazzi. Stayed out late, came home and cuddled up and went to sleep. We got to SLEEP IN on Saturday (Whee!) then went out to breakfast, and went to Providence to see the Harlem Globetrotters. They cracked me up. Then back to Lorac's to get Miss Widget who was happy happy happy to see us. Wiley went out for the evening, and I stayed in, watched Moulin Rouge, and got a good bit of work done on the current stitching project. Read a little of the Hobbit, too.
Sunday, Wiley HAD been going to let me have the day all to myself, BUT out quasi-local ski hill got good snow last week, and so I decided I'd let him take off for an afternoon of snowboarding instead. Little Miss Widget was nicely co-operative, and slept for almost two hours... I got to watch Trading Spaces, and do even more work on the stitching project. Then it was back to Ms. Lorac's house to watch the Oscars. We had a little pool going and everything, and much fun was had by all. There was WAY too much food, of course, and we stayed up far far far far far too late, but it was good.
We have no babysitter this week, so it's going to be interesting to see how well that works. Heh. maybe it'll work so well we can fire the babysitter. Yeah, right. Today was easy, 'cause Wiley took the day off. Tomorrow, I try working from home in the morning with the baby, then doing a mid-afternoon hand off to the Daddy. If that works, that's the plan for the week. If it doesn't, I end up taking at least one more day off, and Wiley and I will see about the remaining day. Since, I'll have Friday off, as per usual. It'll be a hoot.
