Also, once again, you are far more capable than you give yourself credit for.
Long story short, we've had no TP holder in our bathroom for an age. And an ugly hole in the wall where one once had been. And every time I sat down to take a pee, that wall pissed me off, just a little bit.
I was, of course, waiting for Wiley to fix it. (Now, it needs to be said, that if at any time, I'd simply said to Wiley "Fix the damn hole in the bathroom wall," He would have done it asap. My reasons for not asking are many - some good some stupid, but I'll not share them here.) I suspect that at this point the hole in the wall had become scenery to him. Not to me, though. Seriously, every time I peed, that hole made me at least a little bit grumpy.
A week or so ago, I was in Lowe's for something else. I wandered through the paint department, and picked myself up the supplies I'd need to fix the wall my own damn self. Tonight I did it. Took me all of about 15 minutes so far - three applications of the patching compound, one round with the sanding block so far. Tomorrow, back to Lowe's to try to match the paint so I can buy a wee can to repaint, then hang the darn TP holder back up tomorrow night. Total time? Probably under n hour. Damn do I wish I'd done this 6 months ago.
Also, Widget tried to tell me tonight that "she'd never seen me use tools before". Harumph, I use tools plenty.
