Another good day.

sierciaWent out today with a mission of spending the last $$ in our Flexible spending account. Getting my eyes checked, picking out new glasses, and getting fitted for contact lenses. Woo! Miss Shani very nicely agreed to take two hours out of her super busy day to help me pick out new glasses, and we found very cute purple metal rimmed frames. I talked to the dr. in charge of fitting contacts - they take up to three months and multiple visits to fit contacts, because they want to make sure you get ones that fit right. So, I'm set up with a test pair to try out for the week. This is very exciting; I haven't worn contacts since I was in HS.
After that, we went on a mission to get Wiley's Christmas present, but were foiled. And I tried to get more of the new lip balm I've decided I love, but was foiled again. Miss Shani got everything she needed though.
Came home, sat on the baby so Wiley could go out for the evening. We had a good time, had pizza, and watched Blue's Clues.
Watched Adaptation, finished up Miss Lizzie's birthday present, and Widget's LAST year's Christmas ornament. I should go get on wrapping the presents, I think. And figure out what THIS year's ornament will be, so I can get cracking.
Widget and Daddy went to pick a christmas tree while I was at the doctor's office. Apparently, she rejected Wiley's first choice, and insisted on the one they came home with. It's tall and skinny like I prefer, so I have no complaints.
She saw me working on the Santa ornament this evening, and got very excited. I explained it was her ornament to put on the tree, and she liked that a lot. To the point that she almost had a fit when I told her that we couldn't put it on the tree tonight, since it wasn't finished yet. I can't decide whether to leave it for her to put on in the morning, or to put it on now so it's waiting for her in the morning.

WE were getting an ornament every year.
And Punkin was going to get one every year.
Granted, this is only the second year, but going good so far. *heh*
