That was today. At the paper at 8 am, like I have been all week, and we didn't leave until 7, because we were testing our interfacing with their pagination system, Seems to be working fairly well so far. Whee. (The amusing fact here is that this was originally designed to work with System X, and it's never done that all that well. This site is using System Y, we've cobbled together this way to make it work, and it actually seems to work BETTER than with system X. Hee.) Half day tomorrow, and I'll be on a plane home at 2:00. Hopefully home by 4:30 or so. It'll be nice to be home, see Wiley and Widget, sleep in my own bed. Ahhhh, the good life.

Random moment of the day. Walk back to the hotel from dinner, stop in the cafe to get some tea. Put my book down on the counter while I wait. There's a sligtly older lady (probably mid forties?) also standing at the counter. She glances down at my book, and says "Oh, Graham Greene. Wonderful book." I say, "Why, yes, I'm enjoying it a great deal." She looks at me with this earnest expression and says, "Well, good for you. Keep up the good work!" in this chirpy voice, like I'm a kindergartner who's just finished her first book on her own. Jeez, how young/illiterate/ignorant do I look, anyway?!?. Weird.

Overheard in the ladies' room at Logan the other day: "What, do you have some kind of adversity to washing your hands?" C'mom people, if you're going to trot out the 50 cent words, at least use the right ones!

Alright, time for sleepytimes for me. 7:00 comes mighty early in the morning!
