Weirdness.

About 30 minutes ago, my space bar and enter keys went wacky on me - hitting either would send strings of gibberish to my screen (But consistent gibberish, same thing every time).

Hmmmmm... reboot, and the space bar, Enter key, Backspace key and arrow keys all no longer work. At all.

Now, I'm intelligent, I run Norton autoscan on my system, and keep my virus defs up tp date, so it's unlikely a virus has got me. But I fire up Norton to do a full scan anyway, just in case. It's still running, but all of a sudden, my keys started working again.

And of course, I'm on the road next week, and need my flipping laptop to be working, darn it.

Perhaps you have some chewing gum under the keyboard? Or have spilt some liquid on it?

If you have removable keys (Ibook does, don't know what you have) sometimes gently running a dust gun helps. Either that or you did what I've been known to do, and which caused this symptom once, which is to slam the return and spacebar keys too hard -- over time it builds up and screws up the hardware somehow.
Good luck! {;
