I love lying in bed listening to Widget talk to herself, or to her stuffed animals in the mornings. Most days, unless she wakes up very hungry, she's content to be by herself in there for a long time (this morning it was over an hour). Just talking, sometimes yelling, cruising around in her crib. And so I can kind of lie around in bed, waking up slowly. Sometimes she gets cranky just a bit before I want to get up, but she usually doesn't start really hollering until she hears me moving around getting dressed before I go pick her up. And then when I do go into her room, she's just pleased as punch to see me. She stands, holding onto the crib rails, and smiles and bounces and lifts her hands up to me, asking me to pick her up.
