that the f*cking Yankees are out of it. Just this morning, someone mentioned the Twins, and we were chattering about the series and all, and I was all gloom and doom. "No one can beat the f*cking Yankees, they're evil, blah blah blah". Because of course, I'm not really following the series (the narrowly-averted strike soured me on the season), and I thought we were still in playoffs and all. Ha ha! Little did I know!

You can not imagine my elation when I came back to the world of computer-enabled to find that the evilest team in baseball had been defeated. (And there was much rejoicing. Yay.) I may even watch the rest of the series now.

Yay Twins!

Even though I think baseball is the most gawd-awful boring sport, I'm just happy that we Minnesotans have a professional sports team that doesn't suck this year. :)

Yankees.

I was pleased to see that the Yankees had fallen as well, but, shhhh, don't tell my New Yorker cousins... I always have to bite my tongue when we're watching sports at their houses...
