What a crappy day
Dec. 29th, 2002 10:50 pmMy little kitty is sick, and I don't know what to do. I took her to the vet today, and they can do a lot of expensive tests and keep her there, and maybe $1500 later be able to help her. But they can't promise me anything, because they won't know what's wrong with her until they do the tests. With money I don't have. It would be different if they could say "this is what's wrong with her, and we can fix it." Then I don't even think I'd hesitate. This kitty is my baby. But to go that much further into debt to find out there's nothing they can do? Or that it'll cost twice that to fix her? I don't think I can do that.
This afternoon at the vet she wouldn't stop purring long enough for the vet to listen to her heartbeat.

Date: 2002-12-30 07:15 pm (UTC)It's not just not "having" the money (after all, I've got the credit limits to spend 10 times that on kitty medical care), but whether it's a good idea to spend that kind of money on medicine for a pet. And whether it's better to put her through all that stress instead of having her at home where she can get all the snuggles she can stand.
*sigh* poor little kittie.
