So much stuff swirling around in my noggin trying to ger out, and I'm so tired, I couldn't make it coherent if I wanted to. Stuff about the Columbia, and the nature of heroes, and about Fast Food Nation and raising kids, and the Royal Tenenbaums which we just watched, and I don't think I liked.

Of course, tomorrow, I'll be back on the treadmill and won't have time, and all the thoughts will swirl away like the big nothings they ultimately are.

Bleah.

Re: The Royal Tennenbaums:

It seemed to change premises halfway through the movie, or perhaps the first half of it was an "unfair" setup to what it ended up being.

I don't think I really liked The Royal Tenenbaums, either. It just didn't sit well with me.

I thought The Royal Tenenbaums was a very sad movie. I was very down after seeing it -- there was something really tragic about all the geniuses unravelling themselves over unresolved family issues. I'm not sure if I liked it. I want to say that I liked parts of it, but I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate.

Chuck found the movie to be very entertaining. I think he was amused by the characters, the costumery, and the way that everything fit together. He thought that the filmmaking was excellent, and he really enjoyed the "over-the-top" aspects of the movie.

It's funny that the two of us could have such different takes on the same movie.

Bleah is a strange feeling. I dont like it. I didnt particularly like TRT's either. It left me feeling like a ppor Dickensian pauper. That humanity wasnt able to do very well for itself, ethically and spiritually.

THe good thing about bleah days, I've found, is that the following ones are better. All part of the package.

*hugs*

Hm. I absolutely adored The Royal Tenenbaums.

I have been avoiding reading FFN ever since it came out, but I have a funny feeling that I won't be able to continue doing so for much longer.

I loved this: Of course, tomorrow, I'll be back on the treadmill and won't have time, and all the thoughts will swirl away like the big nothings they ultimately are.

Gosh, that sounds like the story of my life.
