50 Books - Book 16

In a small town Georgia in 1906, Willy's grandpa, widowed only three weeks remarries a woman half his age, setting the entire town aflutter with the shock of it. This is the story of the following year, as told through 14 year old Wiley's eyes, as he is one of the few people in town who is friendly to the new wife, both because he loves his grandpa fiercely, and because he just likes Miss Love herself.
I loved this book - it portrays life as it happens - the good mixed with the bad, the sadness mixed with joy, first loves (and first kisses) and losses, and learning to live as you see fit - despite what friends and family would have to say about it. I'd highly recommend this one, and will be shopping for the sequel for my return flight.
