Never satisfied, am I
May. 2nd, 2003 06:38 pmI think I'm all ready for my trip tomorrow. A few last things to put into place, and that's it. Now I don't trust feeling this relaxed because I'm convinced that I've forgotten something major, even though I know that it's a combination of having clothes that make packing easier again, and getting more into the travelling groove again, so that it's getting to be more routine. Denver this weekend, then probably Tulsa the last week of May. Hopefully nothing in between.
Got all my flight and hotel stuff printed out. Got maps to the two restaurants I want to eat at (please, if everything goes well?), got my CD of software and my checklists. Clothes, toiletries all packed and tomorrow morning's clothes laid out.
Now, I'm in the classic, constant debate... Drive to the airport in the morning (I have an 8:10 flight), deal with the hell of Central Parking etc, and in return, get to make it home faster on Monday night (I don't land until 9:33), or take the Logan Express, with easier (and FAR cheaper) parking, get dropped off right in front of the terminal, but potentially have to wait an hour for the ride back to Braintree (They leave every 30 minutes, on the hour and half - if baggage claim is slow, I won't make the 10:00 bus). If I take Logan express, I have to make the 6:00am bus, to arrive in terminal at about 6:20. If I drive, I'd probably LEAVE at 6:00 (instead of 5:40), but get to the terminal at more like 6:45. I haven't flown on a Saturday in a dog's age. I have NO idea what Logan might be like for an early flight on a Saturday.
God, how did I ever get to be so fucking indecisive? Seriously, I probably won't make up my mind until I get in the car tomorrow morning. Bleah.

Date: 2003-05-02 06:31 pm (UTC)And as far as shorter trips go, in Quebec, we read about the sights on the way up, and found our restaurants by wandering around our hostel, hearing some noise, following it, stumbling across the main drag, walking up til we found a restaurant that suited us. I should go back to Quebec, it's such a lovely city.
And for Boston, I just let Carrie take care of all the going out stuff.
