Actually, aren't they the same now? I'm actually running this off one of the macs at work at the moment, as the USB support isn't ready yet, and I am firewire-less on my PC at home.
I'm liking iTunes enough (and SOON it'll be on the network, and I can use the store) that it's making me want a Mac.
This is all your fault, by the way. It was your posting the link to hese that made me want one.
Heh heh. Winning more souls to the Church of Jobs.
The Windows version doesn't come with iTunes (yet - they say it'll be ready by year end), but this other jukebox software called MusicMatch, so you won't be able to use the iTunes music store and stuff. But if you do eventually get a Mac you can reformat the iPod's drive to the Mac's HFS+.
The rumour mill says that the Windows version of iTunes will be out in June. From a business standpoint, the faster that Apple can get iTunes and the music store feature to Windows, the faster they're going to rake in cash.
