A birthday thnk you

So, last Thursday, I arrived back from picking up Imagy at Dunkins, and saw that there was a box sitting on my front step. Hmmmm, says I, "I didn't order anything" as I toddle over to the front door. I grab the box, and much to my surprise (and a bit of concern), it says "Live plant" on the side of it.

Hmmmmmm.

Completely confused, I open the box to find a little mini-tree in there, and a birthday card. The lovely tarecat had actually bought me a lilac bush for my birthday. How sweet is that.

I figured out over the weekend where I wanted it, and planted it yesterday morning. I hope it does well in the spot I picked - it'll shade our deck a bit, and it's close enough to the house that we'll smell it when it blooms.

You're welcome. it took me a while to decide on the color. I actualy orderd it like a week befor your birthday, but it took them till last week to ship it. I'm glad it got there as quickly as it did once it shipped. Since it said it could take as long as three weeks! : P

I love Lilacs, and after the LJ conversation we'd had a while back I knew that's was what to get you. : )

It's so cute, it's only like 8 inchestall right now! When it gets big enough to flower, I'll make sure you get cuttings from it.
