Spent all morning with Miss Widget - got up at our usual time, walked out to Dunkins for coffee and bagels to eat at the playground. Had a picnic breakfast, played for over an hour, walked home. She crashed out early for a nap, and then we headed into town to meet up with Imagy.

We hit Woolcott and Co. in Harvard Sq, where I resisted the urge to buy anything (and Widget behaved like an *ANGEL*, I was very worried taking her into a high end yarn shop), and then into upscale shoe store to try on these shoes I'd seen two weeks ago, and couldn't stop thinking about (Lorac, they're the ones you hated.) Bought the shoes because I thought they looked awesome on, and so did Imagy. They're woven straw, like espadrilles, but easily a 3 inch wedge heel. The upper is a little accross the toe criss-cross in small pin flower fabric, with an up-th-leg ankle tie. These may be the highest heels I've ever owned, and I'm just in love with them. And they were on sale. Imagy is is, as always, a bad shoe influence for me =).

Then we headed off to meet Daddy, and do the Widget handoff, so that Imagy and I could go to the Sunday meeting of the StitchnBitch group. Got to where it was supposed to be to find the cafe closed for another 45 minutes. We vegged in the car with the other knitter that was there, until the last person showed up, and they opened the cafe. I had a great time. I was COMPLETELY outclassed for fiber geekery, which is very unusual for me - these women spin and dye their own yarn, and one raises rabbits for angora. Yeah. Completely outclassed. BUT they were both super nice, and didn't laugh a bit at our completely beginner cries for help. After I screwed up my sock heel for the third time, they took pity and showed me how to start on a toe-up sock instead, and they helped Imagy with her scarf too (good, since she was asking things I didn't know the answer to at all).

We were supposed to knit until 7 or so, we ended up working until almost 8:30 instead. Packed up, dropped Imagy off and headed for home. Discovered that there's now a Super88 market in Quincy *bouncebouncebounce* and ate Taco Bell for dinner (yum yum yum). Now, I'm going to go work on the damn socks some more, and read my history of knitting book, and try to get to bed before 1 am tonight. Oh, and the itsy bitsy-est littl spider has built a web on my desk. He's adorable.

What a wonderful day.
