Suggestions?

So, I want to knit Joseph from Knitty's spring issue. However, I can't seem to find "Colinette Columbo" anywhere - even the Colinette site acts as if it doesn't exist. Does anyone know if this goes by a different name , or if it is so completely discontinued that it's ceased to exist? If it's the latter, does anyone have any suggestions as to what make a good substitute for this sweater?

Oooh, thanks for the suggestion. I searched, and found one person with only a single skein of it. But what a neat group. I think I'm going to join it, seems like it could be a good resource.

If you post a query, you might get a good response.

I once did a search there, found nothing, posted and asked, and half a dozen people came out of the woodwork. This was also for a long-gone discontinued yarn. It's worth a post.

I have also been searching for colinette columbo yarn to make the Joseph sweater from the Knitty site! I found some on ebay, but it is hard to find anyone selling more than one or two skeins of the same color. Good luck!

I ended up finding a good substitute in Plymouth Yukon variegated. I was going to get Tahki Baby, but then the woman in the yarn store suggested the Plymouth, which was nearly half the price of the Tahki. I really enjoyed working with it.
