(no subject)

Well, today was really fun. I've been feeling very lonely and isolated lately, so I decided to combat that by throwing a party, and having friends over to carve pumpkins. Despite going overbard on food prep (as always), I had a great time, and I think everyone else had a lot of fun. I did one pumpkin from the book, a neat silohuetted cat, and one freehand that's just a goofy face. The cat is prettier, but the face was more fun.

We even went to a haunted "house" that's done on the USS Salem, a retired battleship turned museum that's right near my house. Dory ended up being followed around by an undead mime, which was hilarious. He was even cute, but when we talked to him at the end, he didn't seem very smart. Pity.

But now the house is mostly clean, and I am one tired chica. And Miss Widget will be up at oh-god thirty tomorrow, since she knows nothing of daylight savings time. So, I'm off to bed. Gotta finish The Sound and the Fury tomorrow for book club. Whee!
