How can you be 2 already?
Feb. 13th, 2002 10:38 pmThere are times when I think my child is a two year old hiding in a baby's body.
This morning, I have her on my lap while I'm trying to read e-mail, because she doesn't want to be put down. And she decides to open my desk drawers. Which have important, non-edible papers in them. I close the drawer, tell her "no" in my new SternMommyVoice (tm). She looks at me, gets this put-out look on her face, and smacks me in the face!
Now, I know she's only 9 1/2 months old, and chances are it's just co-incidence, but if that was willful behavior (and part of me really does believe it was) then she's already acting like a 2 year old. This can't be good. I know I wanted a child with a strong will, but this may be too much even for me.
Oy.
