Which is good, because last night sucked.

But Miss Widget slept until almost 9:30, which almost made up for being awake and screaming for two hours between 4 and 6 am (I say almost because Wiley was up and dealing with her, and he didn't get to sleep in.

After a leisurely late breakfast we headed to the garden center, where I bought the plants to start the bed I'll have bordering the front of my yard. It felt like I bought a lot of plants (my wallet CERTAINLY felt that way), but in the end, I've filled less than half the space, so...

Then off for a marathon shop at the grocery, a huge stocking up run. Then home for bottle and nap times, as we've now been awake for 5 hours or so. After a lot of screaming, she finally settled in for a nap, and I put groceries away (woo) and vegged out a bit.

When Miss Widget awoke, we had peanut butter and jelly sammiches, and waited for daddy to come home. Once he did, I tried to get all my plants into their new home. I got most of them in, but I quickly tired of being a buffet for the bugs, so I gave up on the last few. Because I love violets, and in the interest of economy, we're going down to my parent's on Sunday so that I can dig up some of the violets they have running rampant over their yard. And if my dad gets to spend more time with Miss Widget, he won't complain, I'm sure.

Then dinner... I bought some catfish today at the store, planning to make "traditional" southern fried catfish for dinner. But then found that I had no cornmeal in the house. So, instead, I found a recipe for beer-battered catfish instead, and made that. Really, it was the first time I'd ever tried that kind of frying, and BOY did it come out yummy.

But that's enough for tonight, I must run off to bed now!
