1. What is your biggest pet peeve? Why? Wow, do I have to pick just one? I think I'll have to go with drivers who are turning left, and pull out before they're clear in both directions, and tie up the traffic in the lane(s) they're sitting in waiting. I think it bothers me so much because it is such an arrogant assumption that their time is worth so much more than mine that they can make me wait so they (maybe) won't have to wait as long.

2. What irritating habits do you have? Heh. This could be long. I bite my nails in front of people. I frequently don't listen to people nearly as well as I should, I drink and eat out of containers in the fridge.

3. Have you tried to change the irritating habits or just let them be? I've tried to stop biting my nails, but not to be a less annoying person. The otehrs, not really.

4. What grosses you out more than anything else? Why? Finding nail clippings some one else has left behind. I KNOW they're just nails, and should be no big deal, but eeeeeew.

5. What one thing can you never see yourself doing that other people do? I really can't think of anything for this one. *shrug*

I hate being sick. I knew it was coming last night when I had a scratchy throat that just wouldn't go away. Woke up this morning feeling like death. Asked Wiley to stay home because I didn't think I'd be able to deal with Widget on my own all day, but after I was up for an hour or so my head cleared, and I let him head into the office.

Quiet day, since I was feeling enh. Grocery shopping, as usual. Widget behaved for the entire shopping trip, unlike yesterday. (One of her new tricks when she gets mad is to whack her face into things. Kind of like headbutting, but she leads with her lips instead. It's not so bad when she's around soft thigns, but when she did it yesterday in Marshalls and whacked her teeth on the shopping cart, it was a bad thing). Came home, she napped, I zoned on the couch (watching Tiny Toons, yay!), then we headed out to the mall. Spent my Real Woman dollars getting a sweater I'd been eyeing and a present for Imagy. I just love getting two items for less than one of them cost originally, even though that just means they were overpriced to begin with. I hope she likes the present. I love giving presents, possibly even more than I like getting them. Whee!

Now, cooking dinner (scallops, rice, asparagus) and more couch vegging. Then bed, helping Lorac's mom move, then a BBQ on Sunday. We might even get a Widget-less day on Sunday; my dad called before and asked if he could take her for the day. Ummmm, sure? He's getting back to me after he pitches the idea to my mom. Hopefully, I'll start feeling better over the weekend.
