I made another yummy dinner tonight - braised pork chops with apples and onions. It was yummy!

Okay, so the recipe called for chicken. I subbed in pork chops and it was delicious.

I'm re-reading Anne Lamott's Operating Instructions, and loving it just as much now that I've got a year plus of motherhood under my belt. I recommended it to a friend the other day - she just brought her newborn daughter home, and I thought she'd like it. It's bringin me ack to the crazy days of having an infant in the house, both the immense joy and incredible limits that you get stretched to by the little creature in your midst. Thank you, sarahparah, for sending me this book last year.

I feel like I was immensely productive today, even though in the end I really didn't do very much. But I did get my laundry done (and Widget's too), and it will all get put away when I go upstairs to bed. How sad is it that accomplishing one little task like that makes me feel all productive? I got some useful things done at work too, and tomorrow I have about three projects that I really must finish, or I'm going to start getting my butt kicked.
