Man, I laughed outloud when I read that line, because it is so true. When you decide to have a child, I don't think there is anything that can prepare you for what it will be like. It can't even be explained, even if I wanted to try.

I admit when I am wrong

I read Ella Minnow Pea last night. All of it. I started after midnight, and just couldn't put it down (Yes, I'm very tired today). I cannot remember the last time I sat down and read a book start to finish in one sitting, and it felt simply delicious. I was wrong in thinking it would be difficult to read, and I was wrong in thinking it would be too simplistic for book club. It was light-hearted, and in being so, introduced a number of heavy ideas in a manner that was fun to read, but engaging to think about after I was finished.

I'd definitely recommend it.
