My little kitty is sick, and I don't know what to do. I took her to the vet today, and they can do a lot of expensive tests and keep her there, and maybe $1500 later be able to help her. But they can't promise me anything, because they won't know what's wrong with her until they do the tests. With money I don't have. It would be different if they could say "this is what's wrong with her, and we can fix it." Then I don't even think I'd hesitate. This kitty is my baby. But to go that much further into debt to find out there's nothing they can do? Or that it'll cost twice that to fix her? I don't think I can do that.

This afternoon at the vet she wouldn't stop purring long enough for the vet to listen to her heartbeat.
