Potty training. Dum dum dum

So, have any of you lovely momies on my friend's list conquered the dreaded potty training? Any tips, ideas, places to get tips and ideas?

Widget seems to only realize she needs to potty when she's in the tub. Never when we're dressed. And she's taken to fibbing about whether her diaper is wet (when it's clearly ballooned to three times it's dry size) because she doesn't want to stop playing long enough to et a dry one.

Talking to my mother this weekend, she was advocating just getting her some regular underwear (not pull-ups) and letting her go in those - the theory being that when she wets she'll know it, and be uncomftable, which will give her incentive to let us know ahead of time. I'm thinking that'll be pretty bad for the furniture =).

This is the entertainment center we bought and put together yesterday. Isn't it PRETTY? And yeah, it's huge. But it holds all our stuff.
