Another long weekend

Saturday was not too busy... We dinered in the morning, then spent most of the afternoon puttering around the house. Last night was the school auction, which was about as fun as it usually is... which is to say, not much at all, really. Actually, not entirely true, as we had good table company, in addition to E & D this year. And for the first year in three, we got out spending very little money... which while not the goal of a fundraising event, really, still made for a nice change. Narrowly outbid on a couple of things that would have been cool, but in the end, it's probably just as well.

Widget had spent the night over at a friend's house, and schedules worked out so that it made sense for Wiley to pick her up this morning, I got to sleep in. Had WEIRD ass freaky dreams in the time between when he got up and I did, so it didn't exactly feel restful... When I finally got up, I headed over, collected a lorac and drove down to M's house for her baby shower... she lives kind of the back of beyond, so it was a haul. After the shower, we drove back up to Quincy and decided to go visit whuffle and new little Caleb (born Saturday morning!) at the hospital. We gathered up Mr. Lorac and Ms. Katie , visited the new family, and then had dinner at a little Italian place in Cambridge.

Now I'm home and completely wiped out, so heading for bed and blessed sleep. Yay, sleep.
