This morning she announced that she was a rabbit, and proceeded to show me how well she could hop like a rabbit. She had said earlier that she wanted oatmeal for breakfast, and when she told me about being a rabbit, I had said I didn't think rabbits ate oatmeal, but liked grass and hay.

When we went downstairs, I started to fix her oatmeal, and she insisted she couldn't have it, because rabbits don't eat oatmeal. She wanted hay and grass. Since we didn't have any hay or grass (not expecting to have a rabbit in the house this morning, after all), we agreed that we thought rabbits would eat toast (with jelly) and carrots for breakfast, which she ate.

She kept up the pretending all day long, it was seriously adorable. She also announced that, being a rabbit, she needed to go over to Liz and Matt's house to visit their bunnies. If either of you are reading this, I don't suppose you're around tomorrow?

Then, also this morning, I called the "girls" boobs in front of her. She thought this was very funny, and walked all around the house going "boobs, boobs, boobs, boobs!". Thankfully she stopped when I told her they were really called breasts. And thankfully, she didn't repeat either when we went out in public. Silly girl!

What a cherub! I can't wait to tickle her belly again. I wonder if she'll let me...

You realize, of course, that she's just saving it up for the point when it'll be maximally embarrassing. :)

Children are so adorably embarrassing, aren't they? I think mom got me back a few times for when I embarrassed her. All sorts of derivatives on my pet name 'Mushy' come to mind. Omifreakingosh. (eep!) "Mom please, not in front of my boyfriend!"

Whuffle and I spent the weekend visiting possible wedding sites, and as a result, would not have been in a place to host a visit from a third bunny.

Next time Widget feels like seeing bunnies however, let us know! :)
