Dumb kid, or dumb mommy?

sierciaThis morning, Widget and I took our shower together (long story how she decided this was fun, but I fear I may never shower alone again). When we got out, we got into our towels and dried off, put conditioner in our hair and whatnot. We were about the head into the bedroom and do body lotion when I realized I needed to put on face moisturizer first.
Told Widget to hold on a second while I did that. I'm standing there, glasses off, half blind cream all over my fingers when I hear it. This little gurgle sound, followed by a little cry of dismay, as Widget deciuded to pee all over the bathroom floor. *sigh* When will I ever learn to put a diaper on her *right away*? I guess I was lulled because she's been really good abot knowing she needs to potty when she's naked, but not this time.
It could have been so much worse though. Two minutes later, and it would have been my bed instead.

I think I've told you this before, but my Brother used to run into the middle of the family room, make sure everyone was watching, rip off his diaper, scream "I'm Free! I'm Free!," run around waving his hands in the air, then stop dead and pee on the carpet.
Peeing on the carpet was part of the act, and was accompanied by much glee and laughter.
