OKay, the first time I saw this meme, I was supposed to do this for myself, which is interesting enough. It's mutated though, and now I'm seeing it as asking other people to do it for you. I'm going to come up with my own list, but I'm dying to hear what other people think should go in my box.

So, your mission is:

Say you were introducing me to a new person - blind date, new friend, family member, who knows. And you wanted them to have some idea of what kind of person I am, but you can't actually tell them in so many words. Instead, you have to give them a box, with a dozen things in it for them to ponder over. What would you put in the box? No cheating - you're not allowed to include things such as links to your livejournal or mine. If you can't think of ten, feel free to give me a partial list.

Hmmm.

An Ani CD
A wad (yeah, there are formal names for these things) of nice fluffy yarn in coral.
That ugly wizard hat we keep around the office which seems to be living behind Roy's door at the moment.
A leetle satin mary-jane shoe with a low heel and rounded 40s toe in perfect size 8.5
A book, preferably non-fiction, hardback, regarding an indepth analysis of an American historical event.
A photo of Widgette with Jinglebutt.
A bottle of Riesling spatlese.
A round of raw-milk esoteric cheese wrapped in horsefeathers, or even better, pure unobtainium. ;)
A pair of purple spectacles.
A dirty fork (I see your desk every day and could find one easily enough)

I would wrap all this up not in a stupid box, but in an attractive purple handbag.

A piercing artifact. Stud or something. Un/fortunately, out of your body, they have no idea where it actually belongs...

The things that stand out most in my mind are

Something, be it a photo or some belonging, to represent your husband and your child
knitting needles
a book (oddly enough, Jane Austen stands out, but I think that's because we've had a discussion about her)
One of the old TinyTIM bumperstickers (remember those?)
An organizer. Not because I think you *need* one, but because although you may feel I'm way off the mark, I see you as organized and an organizer was the only thing I could think of to represent "organized." (God did that sound moronic. Probably because it's past 1am)

And...I'm starting to get stuck. Again, probably because it's past 1am, and partially because I know you only online so in quite a limited sense.
