Three for three
Mar. 16th, 2004 12:07 amTried three new recipes in the past few days and they've all turned out deeeelicious!
The first was the wasabi steak and noodles from the new Penzey's catalog. That was awesome. Egg noodles, tossed with olive oil, ginger, pepper, wasabi, rice vinegar; panseared strip steak, cubed and tossed with the noodles along with a dressing of soy and wasbi. It was awesome.
The second was the spinach lasagna from this month's Cook's Illustrated. This took something just short of for-fucking-ever to make, but it was soooooo good when it was finished. This is me, ignoring the point count on that lasagna.
The third was not so much a recipe, as trying a new-to-me simmer sauce from Trader Joe's. Do any of y'all use these? I'm finding that if I add water to them as directed, they get WAY too watery. But I'm afraid that if I don't it's going to get nasty and dried out. Thoughts?
