Whee, Baltimore!
Mar. 21st, 2004 10:57 pmInstall from hell this week in lovely downtown Baltimore. Don't get me wrong, I like the city, but it's going to be a rough week.
I knew it was a bad sign when the hotel I'm supposed to stay in was booked for the week, and the only room I could find downtown was 3 times more expensive than the rate the paper gets at the recommended hotel. Oooops. At least the hotel for the rest of the week is closer to where there's lots of restaurants, and some nice waterfront walking.
Uneventful flight though, and I used the airport waiting time to get all my installers and scripts sorted and organized how I wanted on the laptop so that I now feel most of the way prepared for tomorrow. Hopefully I won't miss anything terrible and make myself look like a fool. Got my files, got my checklists, cross your fingers for me!
Had a decent dinner (a rarity in hotel restaurants), doing final prep for tomorrow, watching Buffy and thinking about whether I should go to bed or stay up and stitch for a while. I know I should sleep, it's going to be a long week.
Phoo, wish
scirocco wasn't idle on AIM. Stupid game.
