So, I went to get my dye touched up yesterday, so I'd look nice and fresh for the wedding next week.
And since I was going out last night, and having the party today, my guy (in his words) completely goddess-ed me out. Normally this means a blow out or playing up my curls. But it was wildly windy yesterday, and I was on foot, so my only requirement was that it stand up to the wind (and ideally) overnight, so I could look good for the party too. So we decided to go with the straightening iron, and go for sleek.
And he gave me the hair I've always wanted.
It's straight. Completely straight. There's not a frizzy or fluffy bit to be seen anywhere. It's sleek and polished and beautiful. It feels wonderful, and I can't stop touching it.
But the bit of equipment that he used to get it this way apparently costs a couple hundred bucks (even assuming I could learn how to use it), and it takes upwards of 45 minutes to do my whole head. Even if it lasts a couple days at a go, I don't think I have the time for it.
Le sigh. Le really big sigh.
Gotta go back in a couple weeks so Widget can get her trim. Thinking I might go super short for the summer, since I think I really want to be able to get my hair of my neck, and I can't do that right now.
