We watched Finding Nemo a few weekends ago, and since then, Widget's been playing the "Mine!" game wherein she imitates the silly seagulls - grabs onto something and starts going "Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine" in a silly squeaky voice. We've been playing it with her, it's pretty silly.

Yesterday, Widget and Daddy were playing the Mine game, and all of a sudden I hear from the other room, my husband shouting "Ha ha! I've got it, so it must be MINE. If I'm holding it, it's mineminemine!"

Hmmmm. perhaps that isn't the best idea to plant into a three year old's head, now is it?

well, my parents were staunch working class unionists, so my rebellion took the form of becoming an intellectual marxist...

That's not so much a rebellion as it is a modification. The core is still there, really.

My fear is that she'll come home one day as an obnoxious variety born again Republican who's just joined the military. Eeeek.
