Long weekend
Jun. 28th, 2004 12:26 amBut my house is painted! Yay. and yay again! Many thanks to my Dad and Jude and Jenn who were nice enough to volunteer some time to help. I realized after all was said and done that I think I inadvertently choose nearly the same shade of green as the living and dining room. Hopefully no one will really notice. I think the next project will definitely be Widget's room, but probably not until September at the rate our social lives are careening right now.
After painting was concluded for the day, Wiley took Widget off to a geocaching party. I was going to laze around, but decided to get some more work done. So I changed the sheets, folded the laundry, cleaned the catboxes, weeded the garden, and finally got a shower in. Good times, I tell you.
I'm working on a challenging knitting project - the techniques are simple (it's the Shapely Tank from White Lies, but I've decided to do it in a three color random stripe. Getting a color pattern that pleases me is turning out tougher than I thought, which is exactly why I wanted to do it. I'd harbored fantasies about it being ready for our NC trip in two weeks, but I don't think I'm going to make it. Rats!
