Insanity

I'm sitting in my hotel room, watching the Tour de France (*) and I can't help but think that whoever thought up the combination of road bikes (with their teeny tiny tires) and cobblestones was truly insane.

(*)Yes, watching the Tour while by myself in the hotel room. Further prrof that scirocco has taken over my brain is not needed.

Sounds great to me - I'm staring down Hamlet as we speak. It's just too late to tackle that one, even though I've read it a million times I have the memory of a goldfish (as you may recall) and now I have to read it again for a class next week. Along with "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" and "Gertrude and Claudius". The Tour De France is sounding pretty darn inviting right now. That or America's Next Top Model.

It is WAY too late for Hamlet. The Tour makes great background noise. Not so sure about Top Model, since I really can't get into the reality show thing. Lest you think I am a teevee snob, though, I must disclose that I'm now watching Law and Order SVU =)

I'm not really into the reality thing either, except in times of extreme exhaustion when I just need junk (even then, I don't watch the Batchlor-Idol-Survivor stuff. Just not my thing.)

SVU on the other hand, rocks. Gotta love Ice Cube.
