I have been going flat out, for weeks and weeks and weeks it feels like. Work is crazy, home is crazy, even my craft projects are making me feel loomed over and overwhelmed.

I think what I really need is for Wiley to take Hannah somewhere for a weekend, so I get some time off, without having to deal with the stress of being away from home. Oh and a maid. And a pony =)

Even more than physically demanding, it been emotionally draining too. One co-worker last week home because they were worried she was having problems with her pregnancy (thankfully all appears well, and she just found out it's a boy!). Another co-worker out most of this week because his girlfriend (soon to be fiance) was in the hospital with serious complications of her chronic illness (thankfully, out of the hospital this morning, and doing okay). I just found out a friend's mom had a lump in her breast biopsied this week. Carrie's mom set her porch on fire this afternoon (accidentally, of course). A friend's father is dying, and likely to pass this weekend. Wiley's best friend's dad died yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly.

That last one is, of course, the worst. I feel so sad for Josh, and his family. I wish there was something I could do, but there really isn't, except sending all the healing energy to them that I can.

We were talking at the office a little earlire today about how we'd had some good news this week, but I realize that the good news we've had has really been the absence of bad news, or that something isn't as bad as it *could* have been. That is not the same as good news, it's just not.

Anyone have anything wonderful they can share?

Do you want us to come distract Hannah this evening so you can get something done?

I got more absence of bad news with Matt's job--they're deferring the decision til early next week based on getting the funding. Every other time we've gotten this far and had to wait on funding, it's fizzled out.

I think we're running in sync here. I'm overwhelmed and stressed out, and at the point where I'm ready to BEG Frank to take Caitlin out for the day and leave me be for a while.

OTOH, Frank's promotion DID come through this week. He's been doing a manager's job for a year without management pay, so they've apparently now decided they can compensate him. So that's some good news (well, for us anyway.)

I do need it. Even a couple of managers at work have mentioned it, so that tells me I've gone way too long without asking.
I don't know why I have such a problem doing this.

My mom isn't always an evil creature and sometimes she really means well. This is good news, even if it causes turmoil. I feel really overwhelmed too. Other good newsy-ness could be that though life is haggardy its really made me realise what amazing friends I have and what good support systems exist for me and for those around me. I spent the whole day at the house with Josh yesterday and it made me realise how lucky those boys are to have had each other so long and through so much. Even in the midst of sadness there was great strength there and Josh took great strength from it. Quietly offered love and strenght is good news.
I love you! That is good news.
