I am so done in
Jul. 23rd, 2004 04:59 pmI have been going flat out, for weeks and weeks and weeks it feels like. Work is crazy, home is crazy, even my craft projects are making me feel loomed over and overwhelmed.
I think what I really need is for Wiley to take Hannah somewhere for a weekend, so I get some time off, without having to deal with the stress of being away from home. Oh and a maid. And a pony =)
Even more than physically demanding, it been emotionally draining too. One co-worker last week home because they were worried she was having problems with her pregnancy (thankfully all appears well, and she just found out it's a boy!). Another co-worker out most of this week because his girlfriend (soon to be fiance) was in the hospital with serious complications of her chronic illness (thankfully, out of the hospital this morning, and doing okay). I just found out a friend's mom had a lump in her breast biopsied this week. Carrie's mom set her porch on fire this afternoon (accidentally, of course). A friend's father is dying, and likely to pass this weekend. Wiley's best friend's dad died yesterday, suddenly and unexpectedly.
That last one is, of course, the worst. I feel so sad for Josh, and his family. I wish there was something I could do, but there really isn't, except sending all the healing energy to them that I can.
We were talking at the office a little earlire today about how we'd had some good news this week, but I realize that the good news we've had has really been the absence of bad news, or that something isn't as bad as it *could* have been. That is not the same as good news, it's just not.
Anyone have anything wonderful they can share?

Date: 2004-07-23 11:26 pm (UTC)OTOH, Frank's promotion DID come through this week. He's been doing a manager's job for a year without management pay, so they've apparently now decided they can compensate him. So that's some good news (well, for us anyway.)
You shouldn't have to beg ;)
