Amusements from my commute
Aug. 19th, 2004 05:26 pmParked at a stoplight where there's a flower barrel, all yellows and pinks and oranges. It's gorgeous. Even better is that next to it, it looks like one of the plants has taken root in the sidewalk, in a little teeny crack. I love that, for so many reasons.
Then, I passed this woman and her dog. They just proved the people look like their pets rule, they were both squinting into the sun, looking for the bus they were waiting for, and their expressions were so alike that I laughed out loud.
Simply lovely.

Date: 2004-08-19 11:18 pm (UTC)...I need to start looking around me and letting things like that hit me. I kind of feel like I was being a brat today. I have two jobs now, I can continue to look for other things, my parents are willing to help me out until I get on my feet... I need to start looking at the positive things that are all around me. I guess sometimes when we want something so bad and it isn't happening fast enough or how we want it to, we get flustered.
Your post really inspired me to start looking at what's right, instead of what isn't or what I can't have right now.
Thanks :)
