Those of you who've been working five days a week all along might just want to skip this.

Man, having to work on Fridays again sucks ass. Especially when I have to get up at 7:15 to do it. Whinewhinewhinewhine.

It's been three and a half years since I had to work a five day week like the rest of the world. My boss didn't believe it had been that long, but ummmmm, I haven't done it since Widget was born. Whinewhinewhine.

And I expect my half day Fridays won't last long since Widget was ALREADY asking me when she could stay and have lunch at school, and I promised my boss that Friday would be the first day she stayed all day when we got to that place. In talking to the other mom in my office, she guessed it would be about a month before Widget was wanting to stay all day at school for a least a few days a week. Whinewhinewhine.

At least when I start going to 5 full days a week, I'll be able to get outta here at 4:30 every day. That'll be nice.

I feel your pain. Of course, I have to be up at 5am and out the door by 6am, so I don't entirely feel for you ;) but it must be hard moving from the "life with Widget" stage to the "wait, she wants to stay at school all day?!" stage. It means you're doing everything right though, because she's secure enough to go off and find a bit of independance. Still... getting back into a new schedule really does suck.
