3 year check-up notes

sierciaFinally took Widget for her three year check-up (yeah, I know, a little late).
Revealed stats:
Height 40 1/2 inches and weight 38.2 pounds. That puts her in the 95th% for height and the 90th for weight. Ped was pleased with her growth, and the balance between her height and weight. Yay.
Developmentally she's on or ahead of track, so that's all good. Ped says she looks perfectly healthy and thriving, which we pretty much knew.
The amazing part was at the end of the appointment, when we had to get blood drawn for her lead test. Last time we did this, there was screaming and wailing, and we had to hold her down (or rather, have her on our lap while they did it. This time, we talked about it in the waiting room for the lab, so she knew what was coming. When the time came, not only did she not cry, she hardly even flinched when they jabbed her. The kidlet did better than I usually do when I have to get stuck. Color me impressed.

Date: 2004-09-20 01:31 pm (UTC)Most activities start at about 4, some as late as 5, depending on what they are... karate and yoga, dance and tumbling are all 4, group stuff like soccer are generally 5. Skiing starts as soon as it gets snowy though.
