Out of the mouths of Widgets

sierciaFriday afternoon Widget and I were driving home from knitting circle when we had to stop for a red light, with cars in front of us. We sat there for a few minutes, and then this little voice pipes up out of the backseat, "Oh good grief! Will you people MOVE?". She sounded so much like me that I just burst out laughing, and Widget had no idea what was so funny. I'm just grateful her language was so tame.
It's better than a month or so ago when we were at knitting circle with a bunch of other women, and Widget was playing with a play steering wheel with a phone attached to it. She picks up the phone and says something along the lines of "Hii! Yeah, we just left, we'll be there in just a few minutes. Sorry!". The other women just looked at me and smirked, and one of them asked if I was late all the time.
Tonight, Wiley and I were talking out the logistics for going out to our friend's birthday party on Wednesday night. Imagy is going to be coming with us, and Widget was looking a bit worried, since Wednesday is Imagy's usual night to stay over. I stopped, and said to Widget, "Do you know who I think is going to keep you company on Wednesday?" She asked who, and when I told her it was going to be
Jude, her eyes got all big, and her mouth went O-shaped, and she said "really? Yay!" So cute.
