Just a few more days

Just a few more days, and I'll be here.



No phones, no pager, no computer for an entire week. Is that a chorus of angels I hear?

Although being in a small cabin with my mom, dad, husband and child for a week has its testy momente, I can't wait.


Fighting off a funk again this week. I'm feeling very tired of and frustrated with feeling like I'm not being heard - from Widget pretending not to hear me or not listening to me, to Wiley completely forgetting or mis-remembering conversations, to work that I'm doing at the office going completely unnoticed and having my requests ignored while the same request from another co-worker prompts immediate action, I'm definitely feeling hugely invisible. Bleah.

But, I'm going on vacation next week!

Hey, we're going to a cabin on a lake on Sunday for a week and a half too!

But I'm leaving my mother out of it, thank you.

Where is this Oak Pond?

It's in Holderness NH, near Squam Lake and about 15 minutes northwest of Lake Winnipesaukee. The place we're staying is http://www.whiteoakmotel.com/ although it's much more... rustic than the pictures make it look.

No, I'd say rustic is the better word. It's not fancy, and the furnishings are all functional but not luxurious, but it is clean and well maintained. Sadly, the beds are not particularly comfortable, which would be my one main complaint.
