Another whirlwind weekend
Jun. 18th, 2007 04:24 pmFriday we had knitting, Saturday we bounced from lunch with an old co-worker of Wiley's, to a first birthday party for an adorable little friend, to Wiley and Widget heading to another party while I peeled off to go to knitting. Knitting was a great mix of many of my favorite peoples and the group of us (less one) went out for yummy dinner afterward.
Sunday we went out to breakfast, then headed over to Larz Anderson Park and the Transportation Museum for the German Car show they had happening yesterday. When we came home, Widget and I chilled out in front of Aladdin while Wiley fought with the brakes on my car. They declared a truce in time for a late dinner of Indian takeout, and he ad a sledgehammer have a date with the car when he gets home tonight.

Date: 2007-06-19 01:11 pm (UTC)In the summer, they have outside car shows where owners and collectors will bring their cars and let people walk around ad gawk at them - this weekend was German cars, but they have all kinds of special interest car days throughout the summer.

Date: 2007-06-19 12:49 am (UTC)Who was sent off, and why were there a lot of lesbians, since you make it sound like more than usual?

Date: 2007-06-20 01:27 am (UTC)Adrian has been activated (Sergentin the National Guard) and is being sent to Iraq for a year. We got him a cake and a GPS as a come-back-alive present.
And, um, the vote on marriage equality had been a few days before and a number of couples were checking us out or connected to the anti-petition movement or coming by to see who'd been demonstrating.
Beside, why shouldn't there be lesbians? They go with anything, and they're very chic just now.

Date: 2007-06-19 01:21 pm (UTC)I heard them announcing the movies while we were there on Sunday - sadly, 8:00 is a little late for a school night, which stinks, because those sounded fun.
