Date: 2002-03-08 04:28 pm (UTC)It's been too long since I've had good fixed-like-seafood seafood. Meaning, I do sushi a lot, but not...traditional seafood.
So last week I was in East Texas--in a community catering to sportfishing--and there was a seafood restaurant. At the waitress' advice, I got the combo platter: shrimp, scallops, oysters, fish, deviled crab.
Maybe it had been too long since I'd done scallops and oysters, or maybe they were just that good, but they were just *heavenly*
Unfortunately, I don't know if I trust our local HEB enough to buy any out of their seafood counter, or I'd be picking myself up some.

I also am eyeing the connecticut coast for a house in a year... i could get anywhere from there, I think, and without the wierdness of other parts of the country.
