No long weekend for me!

As expected, work was entirely dead today.

It'll be even deader tomorrow, I imagine.

Wasn't supposed to work, but the dude who WAS supposed to spent Tuesday night in the hospital, and still isn't feeling great, nor up to driving all the way into the office. So, because I'm a nice person (and we didn't have any spectacular plans anyway), I offered to cover the office for the day instead.

I'll get a day and a half of comp time, and a day in the nice AC where there's not much going on. This is one part of my job that I just don't mind that much.

And the guy I'm covering for is really sick, so I don't mind letting him take care of himself, since he's usually really bad at it.

Yeah, I actually don't mind it too terribly much. G had already told me that you'd be the go-to person for tomorrow; y'all get more calls in a day than we do, these days.
