Watched The Virgin Suicides tonight with Wiley. God, what a sad movie. I just keep choking back tears. I suppose I should go upstairs and try to get some sleep.
Definitely. Didn't make it better that I watched it with A Person Who Shall Go Unnamed, who kept saying things like 'well, she deserved it for being a fag'. (this is why I'm closeted at home.)
What made it worse was that I had no idea what was coming. I'd heard it was a really good movie and dealt with gender roles. That's all. Needless to say, it dealt me a gut blow.
