Ha ha! Got another one, I think!

So Imagy came to me yesterday, new NordicNeedle catalog in hand and said "Look at this pattern, do you think it will be too hard?" And I looked and said, "No, I don't think so". But it was kind of a large pattern, and so this morning I got her all hooked up with a little pattern from an old Just Cross Stitch and showed her how to do it while the baby napped. This way she can try it without spending any money, to see if she likes it. She's working away at it now in the other room. I think maybe I've snared somebody new into my overly addictive habit. Mwahahaha!

I should get out my cross stitches and finish them off, and like, do something with them, instead of having them sit in a box.

I've never found myself having a huge outlay for cross stitch anyway, because you can buy kits fairly cheaply.

Aaaaah. I don't know about there in Australia, but here, you can get all kinds of expensive stuff to go with the hobby. Hand dyed linens, silk floss, hand over-dyed floss, gold and platinum needles, and all manner of expensive gadgetry. And if you stitch quickly, or have a lot of time to do it, you can power through projects at an alarmingly quick rate. Then you have to get them all framed. Ooooof.

Possibly you can get them here too, but I've never looked too hard. At least in the large material chains you have a very limited range of stuff, and I've never ventured into an embroidery shop.

Yeah, see THAT'S where you end up getting into whole worlds of trouble and expense. Not that I dislike it, of course!

I just love walking into a shop, going gaga over various stuff, then being able to afford to buy it. It's a good feeling. Makes working worthwhile.
