Sundays with family

sierciaFriday was my Dad's birthday, so we headed down to CT today for a delayed birthday celebration with him, Mom and Nick and James.
Before that, I tried to replant my bulbs - I got most of them back in, and depending on how things go for working tomorrow, I will hopefully get the rest in place tomorrow. And hopefully, they'll come up nicer this coming spring. I don't want to do this again.
Anyway, onto CT. Hannah slept enough in the car both ways that she was in a good mood for the rest of the drive, and we had a quiet afternoon at my parent's place... Dad got lots of Hannah time which always makes him a happy man.
Had a yummy dinner, and strawberry shortcake for dessert (yummy) Ooooops, just realized I forgot to add that to the point count.
Dad liked his "from Widget" present, I think, and we brought pictures from the christening which they liked seeing.
Showed Mom the stitching kit I got to make for my grandmother for Christmas, and she really liked it. If the two I bought go as quickly as I hope they will, I may pick up a few more and make one for her as well for Christmas. Showed off my current project as well, and she liked it.
We saw a spectacular RV fire on the drive down - it was mostly out by the time we went past, but it had traffic backed up in the other direction for what looked like miles. Lucky it wasn't on our side.
That's about it for today... it was a long day, but still pretty damn boring for anyone else to read about. Sorry, folks. Now I think I am going to wander off and try to start Great Expectations.
