Wednesday night was awesome

Date night on Wednesday, I wanted to go to the carnival down the street from my office. I'd even gotten coupons for all-you-can-ride wristbands for $12 a piece. So, Wiley humored me, and off to the carnival we went.

I has SO much fun. Even though some of the rides made me feel kind of pukey. (I don't seem to be able to ride spinn-y rides anymore *sigh*) It was funny how we seemed to not fit in some of the rides anymore. And that wasn't even necessarily a fat thing - one ride was completely not made for people with long legs like Wiley. Another had these seats that were shaped terribly, and even Wiley's skinny butt and hips didn't fit right (and I was allsquishedup). And I got to have fried dough, fresh out of the fryer. AND Wiley won an adorable frog for me (Well, technically We=idget, but they USED to be for me).

It was weird though - there were lots of parents with kids, and lots of teenagers roaming around, but I didn't see any people our age there without being there with their kids. Made me feel a little out of place. But I can't wait for Widget to be old enough for carnivals and rides and fun stuff like that.

That's so great. =) I'm all over bringing asmodel to the one around my area, when it comes there again next year-- maybe even a couple more locally before then if any pop up where we can get to 'em. I've a long-standing promise of a life-size stuffie to fulfill.
