Why?

Why am I even reading this?

I had a subscription to Mode magazine. I hadn't actually done more than skim it in a year or so, but I figured I might as well keep the subscription until it ran out, you know?

Then the magazine folded, and suddenly, I started getting Woman's Day instead. Bleah. I even called and said, god, you can keep my money, just stop sending the damn things, and they said they couldn't do that, so I'm stuck with it until September. That was bad enough. What's really bad is that I've started reading thiem. Please, someone stop me before I become a danger to myself and others.

Because getting and reading Martha wasn't bad enough.

I hear you. I bought "Family Circle" once becasue it had "5-minute meals" on the cover...

Face it. We're turning into our mothers.

Probably not. My friend has a book titled 'Meals in Minutes', which I renamed 'Meals in Many Minutes', because they all took an hour and a half. Even when I made them. And I'm actually an effecient cook according to Granny, so I must be.

I don't know, I got sidetracked by the "How To Organize Your Laundry" article. Oh, the shame.

it all starts so slowly and slyly, doesnt it. One day you're dynamic and strong, and you wake up one day wearing colored socks with running shoes, garish polyester jump suits, watching too much TV and feeling nothing.

EVERYONE, SCREAM ON PUBLIC TRANSIT THAT YOU LOVE THE EARTH

I wont be -truly- afraid until I show up one morning to find you have baked a bizarre overdone theme cake using wacky food items that visually fit the theme but are stomache churningly horrid when paired with each other.
