Sad sad sad
Jul. 29th, 2002 04:36 pmI bought a pair of sandals about 3 years ago. I love them. They were remarkably expensive, and when they went on sale, somehow, there managed to be a pair left in my size. Despite their still expensive nature, I decided I was supposed to own them, and bought them.
They're dying. I don't know if they can be repaired. I decided today to look and see if I could find them online anywhere (it's the end of summer, they should be on sale, right?) and the cheapest I can find them anywhere is $125 dollars, and I just can't afford that. (For the record, I paid $55 for the original pair, on sale for 40% off). I found a similar style at Nordstrom's for $99, but they're not quite the right pair.
Anyone wanna buy me a pair of shoes?
They're here. Size 10 M, the Opera sandals

I think I knew that the love affair with these sandals would have to end eventually, just because the odds of finding them for $55 dollars again were very very slim. I suppose I should take heart in the thought that 3 years later, they still have the style, and maybe if I have cash next spring I can get new ones.
