Finished stitching projects
Aug. 2nd, 2002 10:38 pmI've been meaning to post these for the better part of a week, and I'm a giant lazy slug, which is why they're here now.
These are the three projects I finished most recently, and I am very pleased with how they turned out.
This is a wedding sampler that I did for an old friend of Wiley's who got married last fall. It is Chessie and Me's pattern "With This Ring", done on Green Mt. linen, color muffin.

This is Widget's birth sampler. It is based on Lizzie Kate's "A Child was Born" pattern. I'm extremely proud of this one, because if you compare it to the original, you'll see that I changed it completely. I picked out new fabric and new colors, partly because I liked them better, and partly because I wanted it to match the piece below more nicely.

This piece I bought at the same time I bought the birth sampler. I loved it, just because it was so sunshine-y and cheerful, and I just adored it. I had them both framed the same so they go together completely. Eventually, I'm hoping to whitewash Widget's room, and I think the frames will look very attractive in there.

Date: 2002-08-02 09:36 pm (UTC)I just pulled everything out of my uber-xstitch project. I think I'm going to give up on it and get something simpler.
